Time Out With Trees
Your Guide - Evelyn
Hi everyone, my name is Evelyn Lavelle. I was interested in Forest Therapy and the Forest Therapy guide training, as I have always loved walking in nature and the bush. After speaking to the secretary of INFTA to find out more about the training, I then booked myself into a Forest Therapy walk with an INFTA certified guide.
I had not known what it was like to fully immerse myself in nature. It felt like a whole new world had opened up for me. From that day till the present my connection with nature has deepened and I would like to share with you the experience.

Why Do I Need A Guide?
Nature is the therapy and a guide facilitates sensory activities that help participants to relax and enjoy what nature offers.

Forest Therapy Guides certified by the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance (INFTA) follow a core curriculum for all their walks. INFTA is committed to ensuring that an awareness of Forest Therapy is available globally so that people worldwide may access it as a scientifically proven public health practice. It does this by networking and in partnerships with education, public health and research bodies and conducts training workshops, community information sessions and corporate events. In addition to certifying guides INFTA also certifies suitable Forest Therapy trails. More information is available from infta.net.
